Hi, I’m Ericka Joy! I am an activator and educator devoted to the sacred work of generosity
For over a decade, I have guided foundations, nonprofits, and public institutions in examining their histories, values, and relationships with money in ways that open the possibility for healing and flourishing.
My understanding of this work is deeply shaped by my faith in Jesus Christ. After the loss of my grandmother, I experienced a season of crippling anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. In that place, Christ met me as comforter and healer, pursuing me with a grace and love I had not earned, but deeply needed.
As I began to receive that love, it transformed how I understood generosity. What was once only a commitment to social impact became something more personal and more sacred: a response to Christ’s love, expressed through a life of giving, service, and participation in His ongoing work of renewal.
I hold a B.A. from New York University and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University, where I studied how culture, communication, and experiential learning shape how we grow, relate, and create change together.
My work draws on practices of listening, story, and participatory reflection, creating spaces where people can engage the deeper questions beneath how they live and give.
Rather than offering prescriptive answers, I guide a process of curiosity and creativity: one that invites ongoing reflection and the unfolding of a generosity practice that is deeply your own.
